The task was to come up with ideas for a KFC-related mini game that gives customers the chance to win free food for placing an order through the app. It needed to appeal to all ages, rely on luck, be easy to learn and complete, and most importantly, it had to be exciting!

I used this brief as an opportunity to learn Figma in a few days. After thorough research on similar in-app reward games, I devised the following two ideas.
KFC is quick-witted, charming, and adventurous—they're the lovable rogue. Just like them, their fans share a similar spirit, and now KFC is inviting them to dive into a quest as a Rogue for a shot at scoring free food.
Rogues
These could include current celebrities and/or classic fictional characters. They appeal to a variety of generations, and some may even present collaboration opportunities.
Han Solo's cheeky grin and daring escapades keep everyone on edge, yet beneath lies a heart of gold.
Daemon Targaryen, also known as 'the Rogue Prince,' is a blend of charm, cunning, and recklessness.
Wednesday navigates life with a captivating rogue spirit, doing things her own way.
How to play
Each time, players will face a unique mission with three legendary Rogues to choose from. Once they decide which Rogue is best suited, they hit ‘begin’ and their chosen character embarks on the quest.

But here's the twist: the player’s choice doesn't determine success or failure. Each Rogue can triumph or stumble, decided by a roll of our KFC d20 die. It's all about luck!
Winning
A mini-summary of the Rogue's adventure appears on a subtly personalised background. If the roll is high enough, the prize appears later as well.
Idea One
Eating KFC food provides a sensory satisfaction, just like playing a musical instrument. However, not everyone is willing to learn how to play a real one. Therefore, there is... Chicken Hero.

It’s a game for everyone so let’s include recognisable hits from many eras and styles, but with a crispy twist:

How to play
After hitting ‘play’, the player is transported to a neon CGI-built world of music and fast food. The player must tap the buttons below when a corresponding note reaches them to the rhythm of a famous song.
There are only 4-8 introductory notes that are very easy to complete, and mistakes are allowed.
Winning
Upon completing the riff, the music continues playing out in the background and the audience's reaction appears.
The algorithm decides the reaction, and if the audience is happy, the prize appears below.
